Jaela Nuovo is a seasoned workers’ compensation defense attorney with more than twenty years of experience representing clients throughout Northern and Southern California. Her practice is defined by a strategic, results-driven approach and a well-rounded perspective shaped by her experience representing applicants, employers, insurance carriers, and self-insured entities.

While attending Golden Gate University School of Law, Ms. Nuovo gained valuable litigation experience working with the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, where she assisted in the prosecution of elder abuse cases. She broadened her investigative and litigation experience through her work with the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office on workers’ compensation fraud matters, sharpening her ability to navigate complex, high-exposure claims.

Drawing on this diverse background, Ms. Nuovo excels at evaluating risk, identifying leverage, and positioning cases toward efficient, cost-effective resolution. She brings precision, sound judgment, and the ability to manage matters ranging from routine claims to more complex and contested cases.

Outside of her practice, Jaela enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children. She is an avid runner who enjoys hiking and travel, and she can often be found cheering on her daughters at soccer matches and theater performances.
