Bela Bodey graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience and continued to study medicine for two years at Semmelweis University (Hungary) before earning his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law. Though he started his professional career as an applicant’s attorney, Mr. Bodey has exclusively practiced workers’ compensation defense since 2011. He has represented clients across a wide range of cases including Labor Code Section 132(a) actions, Serious & Willful claims, cases involving alternative dispute resolution, carve-out claims involving union employees, and high exposure cases. Mr. Bodey’s medical background and vast knowledge of the procedures and parties involved in the California workers’ compensation system has shaped his proactive case management approach. He is fluent in Hungarian and Bulgarian and speaks conversational Spanish.
